Hi my son turns 18 in April of 2013. He's 17 right now he doesn't want to go back home to his mom. What's hard to understand he can quit school when he's 16 by the law plus he's considered an adult. Why can't he just live with me ?

File a Petition to change custody - no judge is going to argue with a 17 year old who has reasons to want to move. As to the difference between school law and divorce law, i) there is a bill seeking to change the law about being able to drop out of school pending in the legislature 2) who says this all has to be consistent anyway.
