Question

When I got divorce in 1992 part of the agreement was when my ex retired from the postal service I would receive 50% of his retirement that had been incurred during the 9 years we were married. A few years ago he accepted a early buy out from the USPS and retired prior to turning 65, and I have not received any funds from his retirement. How can I check to make sure that my name was not forged on any documents or where the money that I am entitled too is?

Answer

Go talk to a family law attorney in your area and have the attorney review the paperwork.

I sounds like you did not do a QDRO to separate out your portion of the retirement. Pity. That would have protected you fully.

But I cannot tell from the limited info you provided.
