I told an ex boyfriend that I nl longer wanted to see or talk to him anymore, and he left all kinds of vulgar voicemail and text messages on my phone that were threatening and endangering to me and my son's life.

If you beleive that you are in danger, you can file for an order of protection with the police. From a civil side, you may be able to file suit if you have been damaged in some way.
