I refer home projects to contractors for a fee. I am not being paid for my services and want to know if I can put a lean on their property or do I have to go through the court to have it done?

If you are signing contracts with the homeowners, then assigning them to contractors, then yes, you can. If you are performing estimating services for the homeowner with their consent then finding contractors, then yes you can.
If you are essentially gathering leads for contractors, or are in a line of work where you can refer folks to a contractor, then no, your work is not to benefit the property, nor is it s service to the homewoner, so you could not lien.
