My sister recently gave me a gift, which i later pawned in a pawn shop. When she found out about it, she claimed she never gave it to me and that i took it without permission. Can she sue me in court?

She can, but if what you say is true then you should win. She will tell a different story in court. If the judge or jury believes her story, then you will probably lose.
