Question

I entered into a written agreement with someone to assume car payments and use my vehicle until a transfer of equity or assignment was approved by my car company. The application was denied. The other party was then supposed to buy the car from me and he never did. Now he is assuming ownership because the car note is paid off and I went to retrieve my car with the police and they only allowed me to remove my plates. Title , registration, and insurance are in my name only. Can I go get my car?

Answer

He has an equitable lien for the $ he paid. Will you be reimbursing him?
