How do you replace a water pump on a ford maverick?

How do you replace a water pump on a ford maverick?
Look for lower radiator hose. This should be attached to it. Should be under fan pulley front of block. Just remove fan/belt/pulley and then pump with appropriate sized sockets and pull off front of block. Lossen any belts on this pulley by using adjustment bolts on accessory brackets. (look for a bolt in a slot near alternator for example) Should be about 8 bolts total-all SAE. Remove lower hose by loosening clamp with a screwdriver (worm drive) or pliers (pinch type) You will lose some water. Just top off rad when done. Before you put new pump on, you will have to clean off gasket mating surface and use a new one (gasket-should be with pump) when replacing it with a little blue rtv thinly smeared on mating surfaces and end of pump bolt threads in case any go through water jacket. (They do on some engine blocks). Replace belts, hold accessories tight with a long pry bar and tighten accessory bolts. You are done.
