Question

Hello, I was in a motorcycle accident that was not my fault. My lawyer says that I can only get the liability limit of the man's insurance. Shouldn't the insurance company be responsible for all my medical bills also?

Answer

The information from your attorney is likely correct. The other driver's insurance company is only liable up to its policy limits, even if your medical bills are higher than this. If a person has "underinsured motorist coverage" then that might provide additional coverage.
