Can my father transfer his property to me through his alter ego, in which he elected me in the durable power of attorney, without my knowledge?

Question

Can my father transfer his property to me through his alter ego, in which he elected me in the durable power of attorney, without my knowledge?

Answer

The terms you are using seem to be incorrect. What specifically was done through what entity? Remember that if your father successfully transferred real property from himself to a trust, etc., then he can not as himself transfer the property to you as he no longer has title to the property.

Answer

"Alter ego" isn't the right phrase here. However, I can say that real estate cannot be transferred by deed without delivery of the deed to the grantee, and the grantee can refuse to accept. Also, an heir can refuse a gift.
