The Germans spoke to their prisoners with indifference In what way was indifference worse than open anger or hetred?
They did indeed speak with indifference, this however was worse than anger or HATRED, they spit upon the prisoners, treating them as a lower cause them themselves, spoke to them as if they were animals in malicious conditions.
