What is used so that no branches of government have absolute power?
its called the separation of powers !

But also it is called CHECKS AND BALANCE'S!!! for anyone that is misunderstood by the answer of the other person

like i said before its separation of powers while the person above me is PARTIALLY correct,the separation of powers DIRECTLY refers to the three branches of gvt. checks and balances is too broad-because it refers to ANY network between ANY three branches.

separation of powers-also known as trias politica, is a model for the governance of democratic states. The normal division of estates is into an executive, a legislature, and a judiciary.
