Question

In Florida, can a non-attorney represent, or, at least, sit with and give guidance to a stepson in Family court who would technically be "pro se"?

No, you cannot represent him. If you are a witness, you may be excluded from the courtroom, but you can obviously give him whatever guidance you wish -- you just can't be his lawyer.
