Question

In march of 2012 i was placed on probation for a misdemeanor crime in the state of ga

and the conditions of my probation are the following: no drug or alchohol use, no violent contact

W/ victim.., get my ged, stay away from premises of the crime location

And complete a domestic violence seminar.

So far ive done all of these things except finish the dv seminar.

in september i had a daughter in the state of new york so i requested a transfer

since relocating to new york i started school and got a job

So i really dont have time to attend probation and go to dv seminar

How do i go about getting minor changes made to the conditions of my probation?

Answer

Call your lawyer. He can likely work something out.

Answer

so you have abstained from alcohol and drugs, you have had no violent contact and obtained your GED. Those are all of the conditions that you have obeyed. I suspect the judge will require you to complete the dv program, and will not take kindly to the "I'm too busy" attitude. See website for info on retaining the right attorney: http://www.lawrencelewispc.com/pages.php?go=pinfo&PID=38

Good luck.
