if you have a loan for 3400.00 for a car and you only pay 1000.00 on the loan then the car is wrecked and then scrapred but youve already been to court and offered to finsih paying on the loan but the finance company wants you to pay the full amount but you cannot and your not scheduled to go back to court if you do not pay can you get locked up for not paying the finance company back or would you have to go back to court first

Assuming that this is in NC, we do nto have debtor's jail...so no you won't go to jail. You may want to post mroe facts as I don't see why you are going back to Court. Typically, you get sued and there is 1 court hearing where the Judge orders you to pay.
