i just split up with my boyfriend because he was abusive we have a 7 month old baby we were doing a thing where he would take the baby then bring him home after 2 days well this time he took the baby and refuses to bring him home the cops say there is nothing they can do and i want my baby back what should i do

If you go to Family Court and file a petition for custody it will take awhile for you to get a court date. If you retain an attorney he can file a motion and you will get into court much sooner.
