My parential rights were taken on 1-21-11. The case is being appealed by myself in superior court and I was just wanting some info about weither or not to hire a new attorney .

Depends on where you are in the appeal. Due dates for briefs and transcripts are going to determine if a new lawyer will be able to help.

Appeals are very complicated. It seldom is a good idea to represent yourself and that is even more so true in an appeal due to the added complexity. You absolutely should try to retain a lawyer. However, as the previous post mentioned, you may have trouble finding a lawyer depending on where you are at in the case. If any deadlines have passed or are close to passing, then an attorney likely won't take it. Also, if a brief was already submitted, a lawyer may not want to take it because they may not want to be stuck with that brief. You should absolutely call around though and see if this is a case that someone would take.
