i asked a question about if a court would make my boyfriend take a DNA test if his mother tries getting visitation of our 14mo. Old child and paternity has never been established and got an answer about "if she files next friend of the child." What is filling as next friend?
Answer
It is a term in the statute whereby she is acting for the child in filing for paternity, since the child is too young to file.
