I have a 1982 Mercury 25hp boat motor and it wont fire. It has good compression but wont fire-- What could be the problem?

I have a 1982 Mercury 25hp boat motor and it wont fire. It has good compression but wont fire-- What could be the problem?
Perhaps the spark plug system is not sending electricity to the spark plugs.
